Yesterday it poured torrential rain ALL DAY.
It just didn't stop.
Living in North Wales we are pretty used to rain, but this was something else.
Saturday was sunny and we were out and about all day, Sunday we had to go out, but got soaked and it felt like we were the only ones left on the earth as everywhere was deserted.
This weekend has been hard, the old saying 'It never rains but it pours', was not only metaphoric, but physically true as well.
I don't want to go into any detail, for it is simply not appropriate, suffice to say it's been tough, emotionally.
Life tends to be rather like our weather doesn't it?
The 'sunshine' is always there, represented in the characters and faces of my children (perhaps not all, at the same time). They sunshine in the darkest of hours and give me such warmth in my heart on the coldest of days. For that I am truly thankful.
We often forget the sunshine when the rain comes, as it often does. We get bogged down in it, yet it is always there, behind a cloud, or two.
Although it poured down all Sunday, and it was a long , draining day, the sunshine came out today again.
Bright and warm.
I took the twins out all day and we really enjoyed ourselves despite whatever else is going on.
