Mair loves wearing her crowns. she wears them everywhere, and has quite a collection of them now. Due to the twins liking to eat anything unrelated to food, a few have gone by the wayside this past year, sadly too.
She wears them for cooking.......
In her PJ's early in the morning when watching some TV.....
and of course when she is dressing up.
Much too the embarrassment and disgust of the teenagers, she resolutely wears them when we visit places...
On the local beach in the summer......
and throughout her holiday this summer when she acquired a new one at a medieval market in Austria!
Mair loves her crowns, and I in turn love and admire her confidence to wear them throughout the year! I am painfully aware as she approaches the grand old age of 7, that one day, someone will tell her she is a baby for wearing them and then she will abruptly stop. They will be resigned to wearing at home, and gradually not worn at all, and passed on to Anya, who is already taking an interest in Mair's collection!
Childhood is a truly wonderful time. A time to explore, imagine and pretend. I really hope Mair is allowed to enjoy her's a little longer before the onset of the ever younger 'pre teens' ensues.
